Job Purpose:
To ensure all health, safety, and environmental activities are carried out in accordance with project requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations within a shipyard environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor daily site activities to ensure compliance with HSE procedures
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Identify hazards and implement control measures
- Report and investigate incidents, near misses, and non-conformances
- Ensure proper use of PPE and safe working practices
- Maintain HSE records, reports, and documentation
- Support and guide workforce on health and safety matters
- Work closely with site management and QA/QC personnel
Requirements:
- Relevant HSE qualification (e.g., NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent)
- Knowledge of HSE regulations and standards
- Ability to enforce safety procedures and promote safe behaviour
- Good communication and reporting skills
Experience:
- 2-3 years' experience in HSE roles within shipbuilding, offshore, or industrial environments preferred
