Electrical Project Manager
Location: Nottinghamshire - hybrid
Contract Length: 12 months
Rate: £550/day
IR35: Outside IR35
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage electrical works across solar PV, BESS and substation infrastructure.
- Coordinate subcontractors, site teams, suppliers and client representatives.
- Oversee programme, project progress, costs and quality.
- Ensure works comply with design specifications, H&S requirements and relevant standards.
- Coordinate with design and commissioning teams to resolve technical issues.
- Monitor installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
- Report on progress, risks and project delivery to senior management.
SKILLS / REQUIREMENTS
- Experience managing electrical works on renewable energy or power infrastructure projects.
- Background in utility-scale solar PV, BESS, substations or grid connections.
- Knowledge of HV infrastructure, ideally including 33kV and 132kV systems.
- Experience managing subcontractors and coordinating site-based project teams.
- Strong understanding of project programmes, technical documentation and H&S.
- Able to work site-based in Retford, Nottinghamshire.
CERTIFICATIONS
- SMSTS or equivalent project management / site safety qualification.
- Relevant electrical engineering or project management qualification.
DESIRABLE
- Experience delivering utility-scale solar and BESS projects.
- Experience with 132kV substations and grid connection works.
- Experience managing EPC contractors and multidisciplinary project teams.
